Pacific Electric Railway streetcars no. 5120 and no. 5112 on the Van Nuys line in the San Fernando Valley. The signs on the front of the cars say "Los Angeles" and there are stop signs and two people standing nearby. "Pacific Electric 5120-5112 Wester Van Nuys line Aug. 1952"--text, handwritten on housing. Title and date devised by cataloger based on notes on housing. (Wester is probably a reference to Western District.) The Pacific Electric Railway system of electric streetcars and rail was also known as the Red Car system.
