Photograph caption dated December 23, 1952 reads, "Water Heater Blast Shatters School Windows - Officer Leo T. Edwards examines damage in first grade classroom at Richardson D. White Eelementary [sic] School at 744 East Doran, Glendale, after an explosion in a water heater wrecked the structure. Almost every window in school was shattered by the blast which rocked the area for miles around."
