Photograph article dated January 26, 1963 partially reads, "The once-busy North Hollywood intersection of Laurel Canyon Blvd. and Sherman Way will be fully reopened to traffic by July - three months ahead of schedule. City engineers supervising the $4 million railroad underpass construction project at the intersection estimate that most of the work will be completed in five to six months and normal traffic will be resumed. The intersection has been closed since April, 1962, when work was begun to eliminate the hazardous railroad crossing." Photograph caption reads, "Valley traffic bottleneck soon will be ended.
