Description
Annotation translation: "A Banso bailiff. A sort of secret society of men who carry out the orders of the court - i.e. the chief. These masked men also obtain food for the chief, in that they force their way into a village and steal cattle and maize. This is the way it is possible even today to act according to these old powers." Annotation: "Gerichtsvollzieher der Banso. Eine Art von Geheimbund von Männern, die im Interesse des Häuptlings den Gerichtsvollzieher machen. Die Maskierten beschaffen dem Häuptling auch Nahrungsmittel, indem sie in ein Dorf eindringen & Vieh & Mais rauben. Dies ist die heute noch bestehende Möglichkeit, die alte Gewalt auszuüben."
