Description
Photograph of an inflow structure of the Hall-Beckley debris basin, August 30, 1935. Darkly-colored automobiles sit in the mud near piles of wooden beams which lie on the right. The materials sit at the bottom of what resembles a large crater in the land where many men work. A patch of dirt has been smoothed against the wall of the crater at center and a row of men seem to spread moist soil down the slop while placing parallel lines of beams. At the top of the slope stand two staircases that lead to the road which winds through the forest on the left and a lightly-colored structure which stands on the right.
