This is another of the 28 reservoirs in the Los Angeles water system which brings its water from the snow beds of the High Sierras over 250 miles of aqueduct. All the city reservoirs have a capacity of 43,800,000,000 gallons. Los Angeles consumes 160,000,000 gallons of water a day or 58,400,000,000 gallons a year.
