Description
Artist's sketch of the Academy Theater, located at 3141 West Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood. Orignially designed by S. Charles Lee to be used for the Academy Awards, this fine Moderne theater hosted premieres and regular film screenings from 1939 to 1976, at which time it became a church, the Academy Cathedral. Dated: November 3, 1939.
