Photograph was edited for publication purposes Moral Re-Armament (MRA) was an international movement that developed from American minister Frank Buchman's Oxford Group. Buchman headed MRA from 1938 until his death in 1961. The movement had Christian roots, but it grew into an informal, international network of people of all faiths and backgrounds. Based around what is called the 'Four Absolutes' (honesty, purity, unselfishness and love), it encouraged its members to be involved in political and social issues. The name of the group was changed to initiatives of Change in 2001. Photograph caption dated February 18, 1955 reads, "A. R. K. MacKenzie, left, a British diplomat on vacation here, and DuBois Morris Jr., Moral Re-Armament representative in Washington, visit the San Fernando Valley. MacKenzie and Morris have been active in MRA. MacKenzie credits the MRA movement with great influence in answering communism in all parts of the world."
