Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph caption dated December 13, 1944 reads, "Charles Chaplin, veteran of many Hollywood dramas, is one of the screen's greatest mimics. But the little girl who is the center of the paternity suit against him--Carol Ann--is an expert mimic, too. In these two character studies, taken as she appeared in court today, the baby, now 14 months old, is shown as she posed for news photographers. Her natural ability as a mimic may steal many scenes at the trial in which her mother, Joan Barry, charges that Chaplin is the father of the little girl."
