Photographic portrait of John O. Forster holding a Mexican poncho once worn by grandfather Don Juan Forster of San Juan Capistrano, ca.1930. The man is at center and is holding the long poncho at left. The poncho is intricately decorated with vertical stripes on the body and a diamond pattern near the neck. The man holding it is wearing light pants and a light shirt and has light hair. He is standing in front of a stucco archway leading to a rectangular door. A large plant is at left and a pot is in the background at right. Don Juan's grandson, John O. Forster, gained possession of the poncho after his grandfather.
