This is Rostock. An R.A.F. reconnaissance photograph of the Heinkel works at Rostock, heavily bombed in April, 1942. Note specially main assembly shop with roof damage and broken wall (lower right-hand) and salvaged fuselages, aircraft parts, etc. The Rostock raids occurred in period of intense R.A.F. activity during which severe attacks were made on Kiel and Lubeck, the Renault Works at Paris were destroyed, and Germany's third city, Cologne, was devastated by over a thousand bombers in
