Description
Photograph of drawing of Mission Assistencia, ca.1780. The building is also known as chapel "San Pedro de las Flores" and the ruins are located on the coast highway in the Santa Margarita Ranch. In the foreground of the drawing, tall grass and plants can be seen in an open field. In the background, a large building consisting of three sections can be seen. Several small windows are visible along the side of the center section, and a small attic window can be seen protruding from the tile roof. To the left, a small bell tower is visible with a weather vane stationed at its peak. Slightly in front of the structure, a cylindrical object is visible. Mountains can be seen in the extreme background on either side.
