Photograph article dated September 13, 1962 partially reads, "They were all there to fight the telephone company. But there were fewer than had been predicted. The Valley chapter of the California Utility Users League had scheduled a mass protest meeting for Wednesday night and had predicted a turnout of 300 angry persons. But only 30 persons were at the meeting, so the mass meeting was rescheduled for late October and the smaller group met to plan the fight against Valley telephone toll charges." Pictured is Randall Smith, North Hollywood, of the Civic Action Council.; See images #00143836 through #00143839 for all photos in this series.
