OCR From June 9-12, 1949, the Larkspur-Corte Madera Lion’s Club held their fourth annual ‘49er Fiesta, replete with parades, contests, dancing and the crowning of Señorita Marin. The Fiesta’s theme commemorated the discovery of gold by John Marshall at Sutter’s Mill in 1849.
