Description
Photograph caption dated January 29, 1957 reads, "Traffic is stopped on Highway 6 about 25 miles north of Saugus at check point established by highway patrol. Road was closed to all trucks and only passenger cars with chains were allowed to continue as blizzard roared through Mint Canyon area. Wind-driven snow cut visibility to several yards and winds were estimated at 50 miles per hour."; See images #00116864 through #00116866 for all photos in this series.
