Photograph of a pueblo Indian bell-ringer in the belfry of the old church, Acoma Pueblo, ca.1900. The belfry is made of adobe with a wood beam roof, while two bells hang from wooden beams. The bell-ringer can be seen at center wearing long trousers, a white long-sleeved shirt, and a tie. In each hand he can be seen holding the rope hanging from the clapper of each bell.
