Photograph dated May 8, 1946. Actress Susan Peters, paralyzed from the waist down in a hunting accident, sitting in her car specially equipped with hand controls. Captain Jack W. Gregory, director of rehabilitation for paraplegics at Birmginham General Hospital is the person Peters credited with her recovery.
