Yoshio Kondō, professor emeritus of Kyoto University, writes Charles W. Protzman, III, grandson of Mr. Charles W. Protzman, Sr., saying that it was a great pleasure to see him and talk to him in Kyoto. He thanks him for the kind introduction to Mr. Hopper, and says he can see Mr. Homer Sarasohn during the CCS (Civil Communications Section) Institute seminar at the embassy of Japan in London. Kondō explains that Protzman and Sarasohn were very active in the CCS of the general headquarters of the supreme commander for allied powers and its CCS course to help postwar Japanese industries. He goes on to say that Mr. Raymond Wachniak, the academician for the International Academy for Quality, has a keen interest in the history of the introduction and development of modern quality control in Japan.
