Description
A car belonging to Lola May Pyle is seen here being pulled back up an embankment to the Roosevelt Highway (now Pacific Coast Highway) at spot just east of Solstice Canyon in Malibu. According to the Malibu Times, the young woman fell asleep at the wheel and plunged down the embankment to the beach, where she awaited rescue for 16 hours. Despite serious injury, she was expected to recover. The structure in the background is one of several beach houses owned by the Rindge family. complete;
