Description
Pharmacist Henry Richard Bristol came to Orange County from Illinois in 1882. By the mid-1880’s, he had established a drugstore, and in 1888, Bristol partnered with A. R. Rowley, forming Bristol & Rowley. This bottle is likely early, dating from prior to the time when Bristol had partnered with Rowley. The store was very successful, and Bristol Street in Santa Ana is named after H.R. Bristol
