Two women wear morning dresses from 1803. The woman on the left wears a long, white, empire-waisted dress with light green shoes. Over her dress she wears a long, maroon coat, edged in white fur and lined in light beige. The coat is attached at the top by a loose white ribbon tied into a bow. There is a second tie on the coat at her waist. She wears mustard colored gloves and a maroon bonnet. Her bonnet is decorated with a garland of leaves. She carries a large, dark beige fur muff in her right hand. The woman on the right wears a long, white, empire-waisted dress and green shoes. She wears a short green coat edged in white fur of the same style as the woman on the left. She wears mustard-colored gloves and a green bonnet decorated with white feathers. The woman on the left holds her coat partly closed with her left hand, and has her right hand behind the other woman's back. Both women look to the left.
