Description
Photograph caption dated May 10, 1965 reads, "Clay Lacy of Canoga Park warms up the P-51 Mustang he will fly in the Los Angeles National Air Races May 28-31 at Fox Field in Lancaster. Owned by Al Paulson of California Airmotive Corporation, the same plane finished second in the unlimited class pylon races in the nationals held at Reno, Nev., last September with Lacy at the controls. More than 30 planes are already entered in the races - 15 in the unlimited class and 15 in the midget."
