Image shows Leroy Phillips dressed in a Native American costume and holding a pop-gun. He is standing in front of a wooden structure on the Phillips Ranch located near the east end of the area that became the Palos Verdes Golf Course. Lumber and several wagon wheels are visible in background. Leroy Phillips (1911-1992) was the youngest son of John A. Phillips (b. 1887), and nephew of Harry Phillips Jr.
