Marvin Braude (August 11, 1920-December 7, 2005) served as Los Angeles City Councilman for the 11th district from 1965 to 1997. In 1973, Braude, a former two-pack-a-day smoker, helped draft legislation that would establish smoke-free zones in public spaces such as theaters, bars and restaurants. Councilman Rosendahl, represents Council District 11, including the communities of Brentwood, Del Rey, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Palms, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, Venice, West Los Angeles and Westchester. Prior to being elected in May 2005, Rosendahl was an educator and television broadcaster, and a vice president at Adelphia. Photo dated: July 2, 2005.
