Description
Human skeletons found in Canyon del Muerto.
Signed on mount, "Frederick Monsen." Title supplied by cataloger. Monsen's typed label on back says: "In the Canyon Del Muerto, a branch of the Canyon de Chelly, Arizona, a number of Navajo Indians were killed by Spaniards from the Rio Grande, in retaliation of Navajo depredations on the Spanish settlements in New Mexico."
