Description
Taber.
Studio portrait of an unidentified middle aged man, connected to the Hudson family, with a long walrus mustache and wearing a black suit with striped bow tie.
Part of a collection of Hudson family photographs. William H. Hudson (1855-1927) was a prominent Santa Rosa, Calif. businessman and owner of the Santa Rosa Bottling Works between 1887 and 1924, after running bottling works in Mendocino and Visalia. In 1881, Hudson married to Percie (Percy) Palmer Hudson, daughter of Healdsburg, Calif. pioneer J. S. (James S.) Palmer and his wife, Ann E. Palmer. The Hudsons had two children, one of whom died in infancy. The other, Clyde V. Hudson, worked in the drug business with the Hahman Drug Company of Santa Rosa. William's sisters, Theodicia Hudson Schroder and Allie Hudson Tolson also lived in California.
