Photograph article dated September 5, 1963 partially reads, "Valley residents and travelers have a picturesque mountain resort area on a year-round basis three driving hours away. The San Bernardino Mountains, which tower 11,502 feet over the City of San Bernardino, offer resort living with skiing, fishing, boating and camping. The mountain area consists of: Two large lakes - Arrowhead and Big Bear. Thousands of acres of wooded forest. And the smaller lakes - Gregory, Baldwin and Green Valley." Sailing is just one of the features at Big Bear Lake.
