Description
Assam, North India. From Mornai Tea Garden, 1892. The picture maybe taken shortly after the acquisition (by purchase) of Mornai, back in 1890. Possibly photographed by first mate J. C. H. Storjohann (Norwegian-American), who visited Assam in 1892. The picture shows Hans Peter Børresen, and the two other Europeans presumably are Mr. Donaldson from Scotland (manager) and the Norwegian Missionary Halfdan Bahr, who lived in Grahampur as manager of the Santal Colony.
