Description
The Land Park Plunge operated 1937-53. It was located on the former site of the Riverside Swimming Baths, a covered pool that was built in 1909. The tank of Sacramento's first public swimming pool was filled with fresh artesian well water every night. Only white people were allowed to swim here. This view captures the scene on the deck with Riverside Boulevard in the background.
