Description
Photograph of a company of the First Coast Battery, San Francisco, 1906. One row of men leans on their side in the grass while the next row kneels and the last row stands. The men are in uniform which consists of a long, buttoned jacket, tall boots and a wide-rimmed hat. A partially constructed building stands behind them with only half of its wooden roof completed. Supplies such as a wooden planks lie in the grass around them.
