Description: The photo caption printed with this photo in the Sacramento Bee on March 27, 1967 reads: "UP FOR SALE -- The old school in Standish, Lassen County, is up for sale to the highest bidder. The county has set a minimum bid of $1,000. The school was built in 1906 and has not been used for about four years. The county road department plans to use the site to expand its equipment yard."
