Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on July 10, 1967 states: "This view looking north toward the interchange with the Garden Highway shows progress on the twin spans across the American River. At left is the old Jibbom Street Bridge. The resident engineer reported that the job is 82 per cent complete. When completed, the $6-million project will provide an eight-lane section of Interstate 5 Freeway from Richards Boulevard to a joint just north of the Garden Highway."
