Photograph article dated August 13, 1948 partially reads, "Dolly Gray, 1353 N. Naomi st., Burbank, today is San Fernando Valley's 'Dream Girl,' winner of the title in a beauty contest on the stage of the Reseda theater before a capacity audience. Miss Gray, a 16-year-old 10-B student at the John Burroughs High school won the honor last night over more than 130 contestants. The award was for her 'refreshing blond beauty, poise and naturalness....' Marie MacDonald, screen actress, better known as 'The Body,' served as chairman of the judges and entertained the audience."
