Caption on back of photo reads: Boxing team loses but Maxie does allright (sic). San Jose, Calif. -- In a recent boxing match with San Jose State College fighters, Pvt. Max Baer's Camp Tanforan fisticuffers didn't do very well, in fact they lost 7 1/2 to 2 1/2; but Maxie did allright (sic) as he clowned through two rounds each with San Jose State students Dan Conforti and Bob Creighton and beating boxing coach Dee Portal. Max Baer (right) is shown being dried off between rounds by Lt. Charles Mallory.
