Description
Photograph of the U.S. Air Force Douglas C-133A in flight, ca.1950. At center, a large darkly-colored four-engine plane with a lightly-colored top surface can be seen in flight. The plane has a large cylindrical body decorated by a small, star-shaped emblem near the tail. The tail is striped and a small identification number can be seen at its center. This same number and a similar emblem can be seen along the wingspan of the plane. Four large propeller engines are visible beneath the wings of the plane adjacent to the body. In the background, a stretch of barren land plots can be seen far below. A description on the photoprint reads: "Largest Military Cargo Plane-- Douglas C-133A".
