Description
Abstract of Title dated April 10, 1903, for Property of Elizabeth Martin in the City of San Jose. First sheet is Abstract of the Pueblo Title -- history of the pueblo lands of San Jose. Includes hand-drawn map "Plat of the Property of Mrs. Elizabeth Martin in Ruckel Addition to the City of San Jose." First page: "Abstract of Title to all those lots of parcels of land situate in the City of San Jose, County of Santa Clara, State of California and described as follows: (Same property as described in Liber 20 of Deeds, Page 17 John H. Bremer to Peter Gerard et al and fully set forth on page 22 of this Abstract). Subsequent to December 22, 1863 and April 25, 1864 the date of the Deeds from the City of San Jose to William Buck and Jacob Schick, respectively." Documents transfer of ownership of the Martin Tract of land beginning in the center line of Margaret Street where the western line of Thirteenth Street intersects the same; thence running southerly along the said line of thirteenth street Three Hundred feet more or less to the Bank of the Coyote Creek; easterly along center line of Margaret Street to the point of beginning being the same land conveyed by deed from William Buck to John H. Bremer June 27, 1866, and recorded in book 20 of deeds. Also commencing at a point in the center line of Margaret Street where the westerly line of thirteenth street intersects the same; thence easterly at a right angle with said westerly line of thirteenth street to the center line of thirteenth street, thence northerly along the said center line of thirteenth street to a point which point is the northwest corner of land heretofore conveyed to Jacob Schick by the City of San Jose by deed dated April 25, 1864, and recorded in the recorders office in Book S of deeds page 396.
