Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph shows Culver City mayor, Reve Houck, who was an important figure in the city's history. He was the mayor who oversaw the first park plan devised for the city. Houck was also instrumental in the purchase of the first city bus - the second oldest municipal bus line in the state. He applied to the State Railroad Commission for permission to provide service from Culver City to Venice Beach, and on March 3, 1928, service was implemented. Houck's regular employment was in the movie industry. He served on the staff as the superintendent of the studio that is now known as The Culver Studios. Photograph dated March 3, 1926.
