Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the California State Normal School, seen from a distance, ca.1898. The four-story building of the school is pictured at center, a copse of trees visible below the stone hill it is situated on. A tower is attached to the lefthand corner of the main building, which features arched windows and doors, while a recessed section can be seen farther in. The architecture appears to be influenced by the Victorian style. To the right, a two-story building with wood clapboard veneer is identified by the picture file card as what would later become the Los Angeles Bible Institute.
