This May 14, 1941, photograph shows the facade of Gensler-Lee Jewelers at 730 K St. Founded by Ralph C. Lee and G.J. Gensler in 1901 and based in San Francisco, the company opened a Sacramento store at the pictured location just days prior to this photo being taken. The exterior wallboard is a copper color mirror, combined with bronze. On the upper floor of the building is the dental practice of Dr. Samuel D. Orwitz (726 K St.).
