Photograph caption dated December 6, 1962 reads, "It will be 7 p.m. Friday when the lights go on again all over a 25-foot Christmas tree in Encino. City Councilman Lemoine Blanchard, left, will flip the switch. The tree is located at the corner of Ventura Blvd. and Genesta Ave. Twelve church choirs will sing and a Nativity scene is planned. Others shown adjusting bulbs are, Bruce Atkinson, president of the Merchant's Association, and Mrs. Bradford McCutcheon of the resident committee."
