Description
Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing people with carriages and automobiles on Market Street near Sansome, 1906. A sea of rubble lies across the foreground while a line of horse-drawn carriages, automobiles and people move up the left side of the street towards a crowd which stands at center. A thin cloud of dust hangs over the tops of the tall buildings on the right. Two buildings on the far left have fallen almost completely while the large buildings behind them seem to stand in tact.
