"Post Discovery" Douglas fir. A good sample of this 70-80 year class is to be found on the Redway properties (summer home sites) near Garberville. A common type in the woodland area often adjoining or near redwood forests. The large madrone is shown also in #6333. See also 6339. 3/18/37. E.F
