Description
MGM turns back the pages of time and recalls the humble beginnings of its mighty movie empire as it prepares to celebrate its silver anniversary on June 1. This picture shows a movie scene 25 years ago. Director King Vidor shoots a scene from "The Big Parade" with the antiquated camera shielded from the sun by an umbrella. The stars in the picture were John Gilbert and Rene Adoree. Photo dated: May 30, 1949.
