Description
Photograph caption dated April 13, 1963 reads, "Some of the nation's top bicycle riders race every Sunday at 2 p.m. at the recently completed Encino Velodrome track at Oxnard and Louise Sts. in Encino. A variety of events is offered from long distance to short sprint match races, with the riders ranked high in national and international circles. The track is banked 31 degrees and the cyclists attain speeds of 50 MPH. Admission is free." The Encino Velodrome is located at 17301 Oxnard Street in Encino, CA.
