Photograph of an exterior view of the Los Angeles Second County Court House and the Second County Jail, [s.d.]. The second Court House was built in 1888, demolished in 1933, and was located on the south side of Temple between Broadway and Spring Street, on Poundcake Hill. The building can be seen at center with a clocktower on top. An American flag flies from the top of the tower, while pointed edges can be seen near the roof of the building. The photograph also features a part of the 2nd County Jail, which was built just to the south of the Court House. This jail structure was demolished in 1909 to make room for the County Hall of Records building its brick wall is visible extending from the left foreground to the center foreground. Other buildings are visible in the right background.
