Description
Women's hat. Part of a three-piece woman's suit. Hat on (likely) buckram frame features very low crown and rolled upward brim comprised of golden brown napped silk and gold velvet. Brim is rolled up to the same level as the crown. Brim embellished with same fabric folded in to a band and attached to the sideband vertically in one place. The ends are placed on top of the crown. Lining is a black plain weave fabric with a black twill weave ribbon which may not be original. Label: "Mrs. M.A. Pealer French Milliner, Sacramento."
