Photograph caption dated September 30, 1964 reads "A truck carrying signs blasting Assemblyman Tom Bane (D-North Hollywood), candidate for the seat being vacated in Congress by Rep. Everett Burkhalter (D-North Hollywood), is operated by Bane's brother, plastering contractor Murray J. Bane." The sign reads Tom Bane for Congressman? No. Murray Bane.
