Title supplied by cataloger. In 1973, Frank Robinson founded Robinson Helicopter Company, which employs about 1,200 employees. In addition to manufacturing helicopters, Robinson includes a research and development division, has an overhaul program to service older helicopters and offers educational courses for flight instructors and maintenance technicians. Employees install the main rotor blades on an R44 helicopter (left) at the Robinson Helicopter Company plant, located at the Torrance Airport, as another employee (right) wheels a helicopter body to a different part of the plant.
