Ponderous pachyderms are regular performers in the Los Angeles City Recreation and Park Department's 'Traveling Circus and Kiddie Carnival.' The pretty animal trainer is there to see that the elephant stays on its pedestals while a zealous member of the Pinch-um Police Department checks to see if the make-believe animal's trunk is packed all right. Photograph dated July 30, 1954.; See images #00139123 through #00139130 for all photos in this series.
