Description
Noon rally to support Eldrdige Cleaver and his course Experimental Social Analysis 139X. Professor Ed Sampson reads rejection letter from San Quentin Prison for a class visit. The warden states in his letter that "[T]he unwholesome publicity you have generated in conjunction with this course has made the issue appear to be incompatible with the entire picture of orderly law enforcement and administration of justice.. I gather that many of the participants in this class are reluctant to comply with reasonable rules and regulation. Everyone entering the prision as visitor, employee, or inmate is required to do so willingly." [~00:15:00- 00:16:58] Brief clip of a rally for Poland on Upper Sproul. (1/6/1969) Noon rally on Sproul to support the Oakland Seven: Bobby Seale is one of the speakers.
